In today's society it's very easy to get caught up in our busy schedules. A lot of us are jugging multiple things such as work, school, kids, husbands, wives, health, etc. Unfortunately, we tend to put ourselves on the back burner in order to manage all of these things. So what can you do to put yourself first without jeopardizing other factors in your life? Hopefully I have some answers for you.
My first word of advise is having a positive attitude. It may seem like an easy task or even a silly task, but it can make a big difference. Surrounding yourself with positive vibes allows daily stresses to roll off your back. We have all had days when we're running late for work, get a flat tire, spill our coffee, etc. It is so easy to let these little things ruin our entire day. However, sometimes we all need to take a step back and remember that things could always be worse. Instead of focusing all of your energy on the negative aspects of your life, take a moment to appreciate all the good things in your life. I can guarantee you there are more positives than negatives.

Second, take the time to evaluate the big things in your life. For instance, your marriage, a friendship, school, your health, etc. Are any of these things causing you stress or anxiety? If so, why? Take a moment to think about why these things are causing you stress. Maybe you feel like you and your partner don't spend enough quality time together or maybe you are worried about getting a promotion or paying the bills. Whatever it is, right your concerns down or express these concerns to someone important in your life. Getting these things off your mind can help take the stress of your back. Expressing your concerns also helps you to prioritize the things you need to work on in order to de-stress.

Lastly, what is one thing you can do to spend quality time on yourself? Whether that is dedicating three nights a week to working out, getting a massage every month, taking a bath without any distractions. Whatever it is, schedule it into your calendar. For me, I have been dedicating my quality time to my overall health and starting a blog. These two things are something I am really enjoying lately and love taking the time to work on.
Self-care is not a one-time thing. It must be a continuous work in progress and I hope you take the time to do something for yourself. Like I always say, treat yo self!
